Regional Solar PV Sales Manager ? Thailand ... - Eco-Business

Our Client- Is a leading global solar PV technology provider of high quality photovoltaic products. They are currently looking for an experienced Thai speaking Sales manager to initially cover the booming local market In Thailand from their Bangkok office with a longer regional scope and responsibility for Malaysia and the Philippines.

Job Responsibilities-

  • Generate new sales leads and expand project pipeline to meet growth strategy of company.
  • Assess tender requirements.
  • Assess projects for feasibility.
  • Develop technical and commercial project bids, determine module price point based on project economics.
  • Develop and manage project sales partners.
  • Manage project contracts (project volume estimates 1-10 MW per project).
  • Promote company?s brand name, e.g. technical customer training, represent their brand at solar conferences.
  • Identify & develop new customers in order to get the new sales, improved hit rate.
  • Manage sales revenue 10 Million USD and subsequent to business growth 10-15%.
  • Technical advice of customers where needed supported by technical specialists and German colleagues as well as advise project developers on basic system design.
  • Manage contacts with local authorities and key persons/opinion leaders to ensure solar sales.
  • Participate and organize of technical workshops for the industry and decision-makers.
  • Pro-active collection of information regarding customer requirements and decision processes, competitors prices, quality and products.
  • Other market studies.

Candidate Requirements-

  • Minimum 5-7 years? work experience in the Solar / energy / construction industry or other relevant field.
  • Bachelor in Finance / Management with strong technical understanding or Bachelor in Engineering with high affinity for finance.
  • Proven track record in acquiring and managing key accounts in the solar/construction business.
  • Efficient project management in order to create repeat business.
  • Hands-on work experience with project acquisition and management.
  • Development of financial models and business plans.
  • Preferably some experience within a multinational company, e.g. EPC, manufacturer of PV components or capital goods.
  • Good market know-how and contact network in the solar/construction industry in Thailand also preferably in Malaysia and the wider South East Asian region.
  • Sound understanding of financial modelling and legal requirements in the construction industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently (at least 50%) with driver license.
  • Fluent in Thai and English (verbally and written).
  • Entrepreneurial attitude (strategic & operational) with a high degree of motivation and the dedicated will to succeed.
  • Self-confident, but humble to connect with senior management level.
  • Analytical, well-structured work approach and good team player.
  • Strong customer-orientation whilst being able to represent and accomplish the interests of the organization.
  • Strong communicator, as frequent coordination between customers, regional international offices.
